Converting waste problems into Green Energy solutions
PCS Technologies - Research into the use of Canadian Peat as a feedstock for the PCS Process
Canada has significant renewable peat resources that can be used as a feedstock for the Polycarbon Solid Biofuel process. Over the past 6 months PCS has been studying the use of Newfoundland peat resources as a feedstock. The research has found that we can produce an excellent hydrophobic biofuel using peat as the feedstock. The energy density of the biofuel from peat is >26 GJ/Kg while dried peat has an energy density of 18-19 GJ/Kg.
