Converting waste problems into Green Energy solutions

Joint PCS Technologies – Hang Yang University and Yulim Industrial Ltd.

Korean-Canadian Research Collaboration.

Funded by KETEP, the research is to verify the process in scale-up with dual 1,600 litre reactors to process cellulosic waste into solid biofuel to be used in the Korean Market.  The reactor system will produce about 200 Kg of biofuel from wood chips, bagasse, palm oil waste and food waste per batch.

The Korean collaboration is in the first year of a two year project. Yulim has recently finalized the design for the binary reactor pair and the necessary engineering to ASME standards has been completed.
